Abstract

Core–shell TiO2@ATO nanofibers were prepared using coaxial electrospinning technique followed by calcination. The as-prepared products were characterized by SEM, TEM, XRD and XPS. The results revealed that the nanofibers had a core of crystalline TiO2 and a shell of ATO nanoparticles. An average diameter of the nanofibers was 140nm with core diameter of 100nm and shell thickness of 20nm. This morphology leads to a high electrical activity and the versatile approach is expected to produce other core–shell heteronanostructures with high-efficiency electronic properties.
