Abstract

This paper presents the synthesis of Time-Modulated Linear Antenna Array (TMLAA), by employing different time schemes using Applied Wave Research (AWR). Simulation succeeded in three cases for each time sequences employed on TMLAA. In Case-I the synthesis is performed using AWR for TMLAA employing Variable Aperture Sizes (VAS) time scheme. In Case-II synthesis is performed by employing Unidirectional Phase Center Motion (UPCM) time scheme to TMLAA. And in Case-III synthesis is performed by employing Bidirectional Phase Center Motion (BPCM) time scheme to TMLAA. All the synthesis operations performed for an array of element length 8 and 16. The simulation results shows in radiation obtained in AWR to radiation measured in MATLAB. The radiation approximation is due to mutual coupling included in the AWR simulation, which is neglected while simulating in MATLAB.
