Abstract
The divergent syntheses of the trichloroacetamide derivatives of (2 S,3 R,8 R,9 R,4 E,6 E)-3-amino-9-methoxy-2,6,8-trimethyl-10-phenyl-decadenoic acid ( enantio- iso-ADDA), and (2 R,3 R,8 R,9 R,4 E,6 E)-3-amino-9-methoxy-2,6,8-trimethyl-10-phenyl-decadenoic acid ( enantio-ADDA), have been achieved. Our approach takes advantage of highly efficient non-aldol aldol, palladium catalysed aza-Claisen and cross-metathesis methodologies.
