Abstract
The C9–C20 spiroacetal parts of spirofungin A and B, antifungal antibiotics from Streptomyces violaceusniger Tü 4113, were synthesized simultaneously from ( S)-citronellyl bromide and (±)-epoxy alcohol via alkyne–lactone coupling reaction and diastereomeric separation.
