Abstract
1. In order to explain the effect structure of the solvating properties of phosphine oxides, a series of phosphine oxides containing ether, amine, and aminoether groups was synthesized. 2. A series of methyldi(methoxymethyl)phosphine oxide analogs containing more complicated ether groups was synthesized, as were also hexamethyltriamidophosphate analogs.
