Abstract
The disaccharide α- l-Rha p-( 1 → 2)- α- l-(2- 2H)Rha p-OMe has been synthesized. The site-specific deuteration was performed at C-2 by reduction of a suitably protected β-linked 2-ulose derivative. In addition, α- l-Rha p-( 1 → 2)- α- l-(2- 2H)Rha p-O( 2H 3)Me was also synthesized.
