Abstract
The first mild retrodiene processes resulting in bicyclic heterocycles are described. From norbornene diexo- and diendo -β-amino acids with chloroalkyl isothiocyanates, compounds 3–6 were prepared, which, by retrodiene decomposition, furnished 7 and 8.
