Abstract
Starting from commercial tricalcium phosphate (TCP) and calcium hydroxide in molar ratios of 3:1 to 3:4 syntehsis of pure hydroxyapatite (HAP) and its hiphasic mixtures with ß-TCP has been done. The products sintered (1300°C/2 h) to 90–93% of theoretical density having grain sizes of 2–7μm and microporosities of 1–2 μm.
