Abstract
A simple conversion of a perfluoroalkylvinyl ether sulfonyl fluorides, CF 2CFOCF 2CF(CF 3)OCF 2CF 2SO 2F, to the corresponding sulfonate salts without nucleophilic attack on the vinylether function has been developed. The reaction involves KF, water, and acetonitrile resulting in high conversion to the sulfonate salt.
