Abstract

AbstractTwo types of bonding agents were synthesized based on polyetheramines (PEAs), which aim to increase the strain of AP/CL‐20/GAP formulation. The PEAs, terminated with cyano (CTPEA) and Schiff base (SBPEA) groups, were applied in the AP/CL‐20/GAP formulation, respectively. The results showed that the bonding agents TCN‐403 (CTPEA) and TBA‐403 (SBPEA), which were prepared from trifunctional PEA named as T‐403, could significantly increase the maximum elongation ratio of the formulation. The differences between the TCN‐403 and TBA‐403 were analyzed by DMA of the formulations, SEM of the coated fillers, and in‐situ tensile test, indicating that the Schiff base bonding agents can effectively inhibit the dewetting of the binder from the solid particles in the formulations.
