Abstract
AbstractVarious oxindoles were efficiently synthesized via Fe‐mediated hydrometallation‐cyclization of N‐arylacrylamides. The reactions were found to proceed in good yields in the presence of FeCl3 and NaBH4 in 1,2‐dimethoxyethane at 70 °C in a flask open to the air.
