Abstract
1. The reaction of magnesium with p-dibromobenzene and chlorotrimethylsilane was investigated and it was shown that there is simultaneous formation of p-bromophenyltrimethylsilane and p-bistrimethylsilylbenzene in the proportions of 4.4∶1. 2. The new compounds, p-bromophenylchloromethylphenylsilane and p-bromophenylethoxymethylphenylsilane, were synthesized.
