Abstract
A convenient method has been developed for the synthesis of new trifluoromethyl-substituted 11H-isoindolo[2,1-a]benzimidazol-11-one derivatives from 3-nitro-5-trifluoromethyl-o-phenylenediamine and aromatic anhydrides on the surface of silica gel impregnated with ZnCl 2 under solvent free microwave irradiation conditions.
