Abstract
The synthesis of 19-O-carboxymethyl ether derivative of androstenedione and the preparation of its bovine serum albumin (BSA) conjugate is described. The BSA conjugate was employed to raise specific antibodies in rabbits suitable for radioimmunoassay (RIA). A non-chromatographic RIA for androstenedione is described.
