Abstract

One-pot three-component reactions of tetra aromatic aldehyde, including ether groups, derivatives of barbituric acid with ammonia, and ammonium acetate, result in new poly barbituric moiety and, correspondingly, tetra pyrimidodipyrimidine heterocycles. IR, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR spectroscopy along with CHN analyses were used to derive the structures of the products. Moreover, the synthesized compounds were investigated in terms of biological performance, consisting of toxicity examination, along with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial activities.
