Abstract

This article presents the results of a study of a water-soluble diallyl monomer N, N- diallylbenzotriazolium bromide containing quaternary nitrogen atoms using an alkylation reaction. Synthesis of said monomer was carried out by reacting benzotriazole with allyl bromide at 50-60 °C in an organic solvent medium. Acetone, ethanol, and toluene are used as organic solvents. The structure of the synthesized salt of N, N-diallyl benzo triazolyl bromide, was confirmed by UV-, NMR-spectroscopy. The thermal behavior of the monomers was evaluated by thermoanalytical analysis.
