Abstract

The Mo-doped Ag3PO4 photocatalytic material were successfully prepared with varying contents of AgNO3, NH4H2PO4 and (NH4)6Mo7O24. 4H2O with mol ratio of Ag:P:Mo in material and equals to 1: 3-x%: x%, (x = 3, 5, 8). The obtained materials were characterized by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), infrared spectra (IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDS), Raman spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activity of Ag3PO4 (APO), xMoAPO (x = 3, 5, 8) materials samples was assessed by degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) in aqueous solution under visible light. The effect of photocatalyst xMoAPO was affected by the mole ratio of Ag:P:Mo in which xMoAPO samples with 5MoAPO sample exhibits the highest photocatalytic performance under visible light irradiation.
