Abstract
ABSTRACTA new genetic algorithm‐based technique for the synthesis of broadband matching and compensation networks used in microwave active circuits is presented. It allows the complete control over network configurations and element values leading to convenient practical solutions. The technique is implemented in the software tool GENESYN. As an example, the design of interstage network that compensates the transistors' gain slope and simultaneously provides DC bias in 4–6 GHz two‐stage FET amplifier is demonstrated. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
