Abstract

The synthetic method of nanosized hydroxyapatite Ca5(PO4)3OH (∼80–100 nm) is optimized. The functional structure is analyzed in a wide temperature range using the combination of the high-temperature X-ray diffraction method, differential thermal analysis, and infrared spectroscopy. A novel method of obtaining hydroxyapatite whiskers without using hydrothermal conditions is developed.
