Abstract
AbstractSimple and substituted anisoles have been condensed with formaldehyde in acetic acid under different conditions of catalyst concentration and reaction temperatures. The anisolic resins thus obtained have been characterized by infrared and ultraviolet spectra. They are found to be linear molecules having mainly methylene bridges between the structural units.
