Abstract

The results of synthesis and physical-chemical investigations of heat-resistant glass ceramic coatings, which are intended for use as high-temperature corrosion protection for nichrome alloys, using high-alumina waste from the metallurgical industry are presented. The mechanism of sitallization of the glass matrix of the coating as well as the phase composition of the heat-resistant coatings and the nichrome – coating contact layers are determined as functions of the ratio of the bonding activators—NiO and CoO.
