Abstract

In this paper, a synthesis of filtering power dividers with frequency invariant complex source and load impedances is presented. Based on the coupling resonance theory, the synthesized power divider can achieve a bandpass filtering response with sharp roll-off skirts and in-band equi-ripple level. Under the definition of power wave, the coupling matrix for the power divider based on the coupled-resonator topology with complex source and load impedances can be synthesized and converted to realize the measurable response. Finally, a synthesis example for four-way power divider with 6th order Chebyshev filtering response with two transmission zeros is presented and validated by the circuit theory.
