Abstract
A new dual-band power divider with single transmission-line section is proposed. In order to meet good matching property at two operating frequencies, shunting open/short stubs at each input/output port are introduced. The proposed power divider is synthesized based on admittance matrix. The closed-form equations and synthesis procedure are derived. As an example, a dual-band power divider (operating at 1 and 4.5 GHz) is designed, fabricated, and tested. Experimental results demonstrate that the return loss is better than 19.2 dB, the insertion loss is less than 0.59 dB, the isolation is better than 23.61 dB at two operation frequencies. The measured relative bandwidth of 15dB return loss is 35.9% and 12.4% for the lower and higher bands, respectively.
