Abstract

This contribution will present a Petri-net based method, that can be applied to the design of deadlock-free control structures. In particular we will emphasize analysis techniques and possibilities of deriving control structures out of analysis results, in case this analysis points out undesired dynamic properties of the modelled system. Since the Petri-net is a model of the real system the results can be transfered directly. Finally we will apply the synthesis procedure to the correction of a deficient control design for a flexible manufacturing cell.
