Abstract

tures of higher fullerene solids are higher than that of C60 and C70. We have produced fullerenes by arc discharge at different furnace temperatures. Both the fullerene yield and the abundance of C60, C70 and other fullerenes were affected by the temperature. The relative abundance of higher fullerenes increased with increasing temperature. The fullerene yield at 200 C was as high as 30%. Increasing space and time range of fullerene growth is the main reason for obtaining higher yield.
