Abstract

Clusters of polyaniline nanorods were synthesized by polymerization of aniline using ammonium persulfate (APS) and potassium dichromate (K 2Cr 2O 7) as oxidant through self-assembly method. Different characterization techniques, such as FT-IR, X-ray diffraction, SEM and TEM, reveal that the PANI nanorods take on cluster morphology and grow on the substrate. The reaction mechanism was discussed in this paper.
