Abstract
The palladium-mediated intramolecular coupling reaction of 2-[(3-substituted-phenoxy)methyl]quinolinesfor preparing chromeno[3,4- B]quinolineswas explored. The results of the cyclizations gave convincing evidencefor an electrophilic aromatic substitution mechanism under standardHeck conditions.
