Abstract

In one sun (Air mass 1.5), the amount of light that reaches earth’s surface is around 45% of visible and 3–5% of the UV. Therefore it is important to prepare visible driven photo-catalyst. CeO2 is highly potential photo-catalyst that its wide band gap limits its application in visible light. Here, its photo-catalytic activity was improved from 10 to 20% for methyl orange and Rhodamin B to 72 and 83%, respectively under visible light. In addition effect of different parameters such as surfactant and precipitating agent on the morphology of products were investigated.
