Abstract
The general even-mode coupling matrix, which contains all possible couplings of a microwave filter can be synthesised with well established filter synthesis technique. Presented is a simple but efficient method to annihilate unwanted couplings to realise canonical topology microwave filters using Householder's transformations. Furthermore, this method can be easily adopted into filter design software to synthesise canonical topology microwave filters.
