Abstract
AbstractThe reduction of cyanoximes to aromatic nitriles is reported for the first time, via N‐centered anions from the reductive cleavage of N−ΘΘΘΘΘΘO bond in cyanoximes promoted by SmI2. A mild, safe, and efficient method for the synthesis of aromatic nitriles in a one‐pot fashion with excellent yields was developed.
