Abstract

Treatment of [Pd(bpyMeH)Cl 2]/(bpyMeH  1-methyl-2,2′-bipyridin-3-yl-ium) with 2 mol of AgNO 3 in water yields a solution of [Pd(bpyMeH)(H 2O) 2] 2+ and NO 3 −, which on evaporation forms [Pd(bpyMeH)(ONO 2) 2]. Addition of NaClO 4 to a solution of [Pd(bpyMeH)(H 2O) 2] 2+ and NO 3 − yields [Pd(bpyMeH)(H 2O)(ONO 2)]ClO 4 · H 2O.
