Synthesis of advanced glycation end products and their relationship with diseases

Abstract

Advanced glycation end products(AGEs)are a group of complicated and different matters which are made of protein and fat exposed in sugar.These matters are composed in vitro and vivo,which can be divided in six types.AGEs accumulate in different kinds of cells,and interfere their structure and function.They also induce a series of pathophysiological process by interacting with the receptors on the cells.AGEs accumulate in cells,and influence their function,then cause diabetes vascular complications.AGEs are related to the biological property of many kinds of carcinoma.For example,they can influence the growth and invasion of tumor cells by modifying heat shock protein 27 or interacting with receptor for advanced glycation end products.The inhibitor of AGEs,like OPB-9195,can inhibit these pathophysiological processes.
