Abstract
Abstract The title compound 1 has been synthesized via bridge enlargement of compound 2 which was formed by cyclization of [5]ferrocenophane-2-propionic acid. By this study the structure of 2, which was discrepantly described by two groups, has been established as [5]-α-oxo[3](1,2)ferrocenophane.
