Abstract
4-Bromo-1-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-3-methyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one was reacted with the sodium salt of some reactive methylene compounds and then condensed with hydrazine hydrate, phenyl hydrazine, hydroxylamine hydrochloride, urea and thiourea to obtain the 4-substituted heterocy- cles-5-pyrazolones.
