Abstract

The single-phase polycrystalline ceramic samples of Y1-xCaxFeO3 (x = 0.03 & 0.05) have been prepared by the conventional high temperature solid state reaction method. The X-ray diffractogram confirmed the orthorhombic symmetry with space group Pnma. The dielectric and impedance analysis have been done for both these samples as a function of frequency (from 100 Hz to 5 MHz) and temperature (from RT to 673 K). The IR spectra have been recorded in the transmission mode in fingerprint region (700 cm−1 to 400 cm−1) using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Various vibrational parameters have been calculated for Fe–O bond. The results are discussed in detail.
