Abstract

Models of dihydroisoquinoline imine 2, oxaziridine 3 and nitrone 4 were synthesized and characterized through the mass spectrum, elemental analysis and NMR spectral studies. The crystal structure of compound 4 was determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction data. All these compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities, represented here with MICs values and% anti-adherence activity. Antimicrobial activity showed MICs values ranged between 0.31 and more than 2.5 mg/ml and Anti-adherence activity reached more than 75% especially with nitrone compound 4 when applied at a concentration of 0.312 mg/ml.
