Abstract

This article studies on the synthesis of chitosan – magnetite composite materials (CM) by in-situ method. The composite materials were synthesized in mass ratio chitosan: magnetite from 9:1 to 4:6. The characterization of CM composites were determined by XRD and SEM methods showed that the crystal size and material surface depend on the proportion of chitosan added during the synthesis. These materials were able to removal CFX antibiotics in aqueous by adsorption method. The CM46 composite adsorbed well CFX with equilibrium time of 60 minutes. The adsorption of CFX onto CM46 followed the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption model. The maximum adsorption capacity was 53.25 mg/g. The kinetic of the removal fitted better to the pseudo-second-order.
