Abstract

The reactions of HL (L = 1-(CH3OCH2CH2)-3-(Me2NCH2)-C8H4N) with different equivalent of the RE(CH2SiMe3)3(THF)2 produced a series of novel indol-2-yl-based NCO pincer rare-earth metal dialkyl complexes (κ3NCO-L)RE(CH2SiMe3)2 (RE = Lu(1a), Yb(1b)) and monoalkyl complexes (κ2NC-L)(κ3NCO-L)RE(CH2SiMe3) (RE = Lu(2a), Yb(2b), Er(2c), Y(2d)). These complexes served as catalysts for the hydroboration of imines and exhibited excellent activity with high efficiency under solvent-free and ambient temperature conditions.
