Abstract

Double perovskite-type oxide Ca2MSbO6 materials, where M=Dy, Fe, Cr, and Al, were prepared by using the sol–gel auto-combustion method. The role of different B-site cations on their synthesis, structures, morphologies and catalytic properties was investigated. The progress of double-perovskite type structure formation and the disappearance of the organic phases were monitored by infrared absorption spectroscopy (FTIR). Double perovskite oxide structures were evaluated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), while the microstructure of obtained compounds was studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Also, BET surface areas were measured at the liquid nitrogen temperature by nitrogen adsorption. Catalytic properties of the obtained compounds were evaluated by test reaction of hydrogen peroxide decomposition.
