Abstract
Copper incorporated Poly 1- Naphthylamine nano composites with high photocatalytic activity has been prepared in a simple one step route .The composite was prepared by the chemical oxidative polymerization of 1-Naphthylamine in nitric acid medium with Ammonium peroxo disulphate in presence of copper ion.The copper incorporation was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction studies and SEM images shows a flake like morphology compared to the morphology of pristine PNA. The prepared composites shows good catalytic activity toward the borohydride assisted reduction of Methylene blue under sun light irradiation .The dielectric permittivity and A.C. conductivity values shows improvement upon copper incorporation.
