Abstract
We synthesized a kind of novel hierarchical Mn3O4 spinel metal oxide with hollow core–shell structures by a facile one-step hydrothermal route with a further calcination process. The crystal structure and micro-morphology of these samples were characterized in detail. When employed as the microwave transmission material, the Mn3O4 microspheres calcined at 300 °C exhibit excellent wave-transparent property. Therefore, it is believed the Mn3O4 microspheres are an ideal candidate for next-generation wave-transparent materials.
