Abstract

Polyaniline (PANI) and Aloe Vera (AV) bio-composite have been synthesized by in-situ polymerization method. The PANI and bio-composite were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Absorption Spectroscopy (UV-Vis). FT-IR confirms the well chemical interaction and composite formation between the PANI and AV. The SEM reveals the smooth and change in surface morphology with reduced porosity in composite. The ultra violet absorption study shows that decrease in absorption in UV region and red shift in the visible region from 500 nm to 545 nm. These results manifest that the effect of AV in the PANI matrix and are promising composite materials for some electronic field applications.
