Abstract

The present study reports the first synthesis of a high-entropy (Fe0.2Co0.2Cu0.2Zn0.2Mn0.2)Nb2O6 ceramics with the Pbcn single-phase columbite structure. Microstructure analysis using TEM + EDS and XRD techniques confirms the presence of a single-phase structure, demonstrating successful integration of multi-component cations into the same site. Additionally, experimental studies on the electrical and thermal properties of the sample are presented in this study. Notably, this material exhibits excellent thermal insulation ability, as evidenced by its relatively low intrinsic thermal conductivity values of 0.75 and 1.39 W·m−1·K−1 at 323 K and 1023 K, respectively.
