Abstract
The reaction of Ti(NMe 2) 4 with the bidentate ligand C 5H 4CH 2CH 2NHSO 2C 6H 4CH 3 yields the titanium sulfonamido cyclopentadiene complex Ti( η 5: σ-C 5H 4CH 2CH 2NSO 2C 6H 4CH 3)(NMe 2) 2. This compound reacts with two equivalents Me 3SiCl to give the novel dichloride complex Ti( η 5: σ-C 5H 4CH 2CH 2NSO 2C 6H 4CH 3)Cl 2 whose molecular structure was determined by single crystal X-ray crystallography.
