Abstract
Complexes of the type L n MPRCl 2 (L n M (CO) 5Cr or C 5H 5(CO) 2Mn), on treatment with C 5H 5Co(CO) 2, undergo dehalogenation giving mixed metal clusters, L n MPR[CoC 5H 5(CO)] 2. The molecular structure of (C 5H 5) 3Co 2Mn(CO) 4±PCH 2C 6H 5 is described. Monoclinic, space group P2 1/ c with a 9.579, b 14.338, c 17.650 Å, Z = 4.
