Abstract

Evaporation of the mixture solution of Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O, KOH and (S)-2-hydroxy-3-phenylpropanoic acid affords a Cu(II)–K(I) coordination compound 1. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that 1 is a one-dimensional comb-like coordination polymer in the P212121 space group with crystal cell parameters a = 10.989(2) A, b = 15.939(3) A, c = 22.511(5) A, V = 3943(1) A3 and Z = 4. Evaporation of the mixture solution of Cu(ClO4)2·16H2O, KOH and (S)-2-hydroxy-3-phenylpropanoic acid affords a Cu(II)–K(I) coordination compound 1 with a one-dimensional comb-like structure.
