Abstract

Abstract The X-ray crystallographic analysis of a stable stannanethione, Bbt(Titp)Sn=S, reveals that the tin–sulfur bond distance [2.221(3) Å] is ca. 10% shorter than the normal tin–sulfur single bonds and the tin atom of the stannanethione has a trigonal planar geometry, as do as the carbonyl carbon atoms.
