Abstract
Ruthenium nitrosonaphthol complexes incorporating pendant pyridyl ligands of trans- and cis-[Ru{η 2-N(O)C 10H 6O} 2(CO)(NC 5H 4CHCHC 5H 4N)] ( 1a and 1b) and trans- and cis-[Ru{η 2-OC 10H 6N(O)} 2(CO)(NC 5H 4CHCHC 5H 4N)] ( 1c and 1d) were synthesized and used as building blocks in the construction of a supramolecular system. The molecular structures of 1b and the NMe 3 substitution complex cis-[Ru{η 2-N(O)C 10H 6O} 2(CO)(NMe 3)] ( 2b) were established by X-ray diffraction analysis.
