Abstract

The reaction of N,N′-bis(diphenylphosphino)piperzine with elemental sulfur or selenium in toluene under refluxing conditions afforded Ph2P(S)N(C4H8)NP(S)Ph2 or Ph2P(Se)N(C4H8)NP(Se)Ph2 in a quantitative yield. The molecular structures were determined by X-ray studies.
