Abstract
The synthesis and cardiovascular evaluation of a novel series of [4-alkyl(aryl)quinazolin-2-one-1-yl]alkanoic esters and acids ( II) as renal vasodilators is presented. The compound 3-[6,7-dihydroxy-4-methyl-(1 H)-quinazoline-2-one-1-yl]propanoic acid (7) was found to be a potent and selective renal vasodilator.
